I want skater hair i need help?

okay so i want to go for the skater look because im a pretty good skater but i dont look like it. im good with the clothes and shoes and stuff but my hair is totally non-skater. My hair is really thick and gets puffy if i try to grow it out. When i get my hair cut, itll look nice and thin and "sk8r" for a day or two, then as it grows it just gets all puffy again. What can i do or have the stylist do?

my bro is a skater but didnt have the skater hair..his hair is really puffy to but i told him to grow it out..It did look pretty funny when it was growing out only because it looked weird but when he got it long it looked awesome. Once it gets as long as ur eyes who have to keep puching your hair in the front of your eyes to a side. Most skater wear a hat and the hair is showing on one side of the hat. Just trust me let it grow out it will look awesome....ever think about dying it....put highlights in it if its brown like ryan shecklers old hair...or if you dont want to grow it out do ryan shecklers hair how he has it now...its shaved...if u dont want it shaved and spicky in the front then get a kick butt mohawk...but make sure its not that long or it will look emo wanna beish if u get what im saying

their hair is the absolute best.

i think it looks really cute/ skater.

ask your stylist for thick side bangs.

and cut the back part on top of your head kind of short with lots of layers and spike it up.
