I think my hair stopped growing??

Back in September, I was a hair model and agreed to let the stylist do anything she wanted to my hair. Coincedentally she cut off 10 inches, gave me a short shag ear length, and finished with the razor!! I hated it, but it grew really fast... in five months it's grown about 6 inches, just above my shoulders, with an end trim every other month.

I would get a root touch - up every other week. Only I haven't gotten one since jan 3, because I've had no roots... is it possible my hair has stopped growing?? I'm only 19!?

there are 3 stages of hair growth - angen, catagen and telegen.

the anagen is the actual growing stage of the hair and depending on how long tht stage last is how long ur hair will grow.

on average hair grows at 1/2 an inch per month. having a good diet can help but there is no miracle cure for making hair grow.

if u do want long hair tho, u can cheat and get hair extensions, and if u do, go for weave in 1s as glue/bond 1s cause damage and with sewn in 1s ur hair is braided and strips of hair sewn in, it means ur hair can have a "break" and can grow.

using chemicals on ur hair wont cause hair to stop growin, every1s growth rate is different.

and for all those who think ur "killing" ur hair...newsflash its dead already - if it hurt to cut or colour hair whatever id b a lil screwed for a job.

no you are still growing hair but probably are damaging it or killing it

Don't panic, it's very unlikely your hair has stopped growing. Though like alot of people said you might want to stop touching up your roots, though i understand this would be difficult as you're a model. Give it another month and if you still have no roots at all, go to your hairdresser and see what they say.

No, I dont' think it stopped growing, take a multi vitamin and root touch up every three weeks.

Now to the question. It is rather unlikely that your hair has stopped growing unless you used chemicals on it or something. if you are really worried talk to your stylist they probably have way better answers than us.
